Our 9 step process for expertly cleaning your Oriental and Area Rugs:

1. Pre-Inspect. Our ASE technicians check the condition of each rug. They are looking for fading, discoloration, stains, wear, pre-existing damage, color instability and odors. We then can determine what steps need to follow to ensure the appropriate cleaning procedure is used for your unique rug.
2. Dusting. ASE technicians remove dust and other particle matters that lie deep within your rug with compressed air and our unique tools. You would be amazed how simple foot traffic and dry soil on a rug can be like sandpaper on the fibers of your rug. Our “air washing” or “dusting” of the rug is much more effective than simple vacuuming, shaking or beating of the rug.
3. Pre-Treat. ASE technicians pre-treat your rug wherever we find spots, spills or small or large stains. We use the most advanced spotting techniques available to us for this important process.
4. Pre-Clean. ASE pre-cleans all rugs based on the high traffic areas of your home, or highly soiled areas. Please note that discoloration of your rugs due to simple wear, fading or other chemical reactions are not reversible.
5. Agitate, Dissolve, Suspend and Extract the ground in soils is our next step in this thorough cleaning process.
6. Rinse. We rinse your rug to further remove any soil or cleaning residue that may remain. This helps to restore the natural feel of your Oriental or Area rug.
7. Restore. We also restore nap of your Oriental or Area rug with our special grooming tools.
8. Dry. ASE takes the time to dry each rug in our climate-controlled drying room. Drying time takes less than 24 hours.
9. Final Inspection. ASE maintains the highest level of cleaning standards, so as you can see, our inspection process is quite thorough. We don not hesitate to repeat any steps that might be necessary to provide you with the cleanest rug possible. It is that final and personal touch that ASE gives each of the rugs that come to us, that means so much.

Disclaimer: During the first step of our 9 step process (pre-inspection), ASE technicians may find that additional steps are needed beyond our standard cleaning in order to restore your rug to its best possible appearance. Standard cleaning is done at our normal or quoted rate. Unusually heavily soiled rugs, excessive spotting, additional hand cleaning, deodorization and other situations that require extra labor, care and materials may require additional charges.
